Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire in Montreal's West Island is a tiny, quiet town. The West Island can be confusing to people unfamiliar of its purpose. They often believe it's an island located west of Montreal however the West Island encompasses everything between the cities of Lachine and West. Amanda Brugel's hometown is often cited, however her short visit to the West Island wasn't. Brugel was raised in Courtice close to Oshawa the city of Ontario. She wanted to become professional, however due to an explosive expansion, she surpassed the dance partners she had. A Toronto Star article revealed she's 6 feet 1 inch tall and has heels. The career of Brugel spans more than twenty years, and she's been in over 60 productions, both on big screens and on smaller ones. Her most notable role was that of Rita (pictured beneath) on The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian actor in Season 1 which was viewed only on occasion.
